Purple Rain

I dont know where this came from, but for some reason I am at work thinking about Purple Rain. I love this movie and the soundtrack. As you can see, my new job is not very exciting right now and my mind is wandering. I also don't feel like coming up with a real post, so just because I can, here are my 10 favorite things about the Purple Rain.

1. The music - This is obvious, but Prince and the Revolution and Morris Day and The Time were the ish. I even liked Appolonia's girl group and Dez Dickerson's group, whose name escapes me right now.

2. The pure pimpiness of Morris and Jerome. When Jerome throws the girl in the dumpster. That was the funniest pimp move I can remember

3. When Prince kooks out during Darling Nikki and starts humping the stage. I love when the club owner says " I dont know what you think this is, Kid, but this is bidness"

4. Appolonia's breasts. - The "wait that's not Lake Minnetonka" scene was classic. I remember being a perved out 11 year old, rewinding the tape to that scene over and over again.

5.The I Would Die For U dance. When Prince does the sign language thing and does the touching himself dance is hilarious

6. When Prince slaps the mess out of Appolonia and realizes he is just like his father - too cold

7. The motorcycle - Who was cooler than Prince riding through Minneapolis on that bike?

8. The scene after Prince's daddy shoots himself and Morris walks by the dressing room and says "How's the family?" The Time starts laughing, but Morris gives that look of regret.

9. The crazy fashion and hair styles. Prince is rocking a purple sequin coat with studs and everybody got big hairspray filled do's

10. The fact that I love the movie and cd, even though I have no idea what Purple Rain symbolizes. What is he even talking about? Can anyone break that down for me?
